Questions

About to initiate a Google Ads campaign for an eTutoring Company where I have done everything myself.

I am wondering if it is worth hiring someone to look over it for like 1-2 hours just to make sure a didn't leave out something that will crush the whole thing.

Yes, it’s always worth investing in some professional help. The good news is: it’s very difficult to "crush the whole thing" with a Google Ads campaign.

The easiest way to fail on GAds is to waste money. Be ready to spend $100/day for ~2 weeks in order to see some real results— either good or bad.

But even still, hiring a pro to give it a look would be a great way to ensure your settings and campaigns are configured optimally. I'd expect to pay $50-100/hr for that person's time.

I don’t provide this service but I could definitely connect you with a few folks who do, if you’re interested.

Hiring an expert to review your first Google Ads campaign is generally a good idea. Even the most experienced advertisers sometimes miss important things when setting up a new campaign. Here are a few reasons why a brief review could be worthwhile:

Targeting: They can check your targeting criteria (keywords, locations, devices, etc.) to ensure you're reaching the right audience and not leaving money on the table.

Ad Copy: Your ad text, headlines, and descriptions should be optimized. An expert eye can catch ways to improve calls-to-action or messaging.

Budgets: Help set optimal daily and weekly budgets and bid adjustments to maximize results without overspending upfront.

Metrics: Verify your conversion tracking and goals are set up correctly to measure success properly.

Negative keywords are often key to avoiding wasted spending. They'll know what to filter out.

Landing pages: Confirm pages are optimized for ads and move users down the funnel smoothly.

Account structure: advise on best practices like separate campaigns or ad groups for different goals.

Launch plan: recommend a smart launch schedule to reduce the risk of mistakes.

It's a small investment that could save you wasted time and frustration later on. Ask them to review everything and provide a report on any recommended changes. It is better to fix issues now than spend months optimizing a flawed setup. For most campaigns, an expert review pays for itself.

There are a number of elements that determine whether or not it's worthwhile to hire someone to examine your Google Ads campaign for one to two hours, but here's my analysis based on the information you've provided:
Motives for thinking about hiring someone
Limited experience: If you're not familiar with Google AdWords or haven't managed sophisticated campaigns before, getting a fast evaluation from a qualified expert will help you spot potential problems and areas that need work.
Complexity of the campaign: Having a professional review your setup helps guarantee that everything is adjusted for effective performance, especially if your campaign includes several ad groups, targeting options, and bidding techniques.
Peace of mind: If you've committed a lot of time and money to your campaign, hiring someone for a one-time assessment can provide important assurance that it's headed in the correct direction.
Considerations prior to hiring:
How confident are you? A review may not be required if you are satisfied with the way your campaign is set up and have done extensive study on best practices.
Budget: One-time sessions can be pricey, so consider your financial limits as well as the possible benefits before making a decision.
Here is a suggestion:

Rather than a broad evaluation lasting one to two hours, you may tailor the consultation to address particular areas that raise questions or concerns for you. This might be your landing page optimization, ad copy, bidding strategy, or targeting strategy. You can optimize the value of your session and obtain more focused input by limiting the scope.

The choice of whether or not to hire someone is ultimately yours. Weigh the aforementioned variables while taking your budget and unique needs into account. Recall that, in the long term, investing even a small amount on professional guidance may save you problems, money, and time.
