Step: #8 Purpose-Aligned Talent: You will attract the best talent when you are clear and aligned on purpose

I think that the best people, especially more and more, are seeking meaning. They're seeking meaning in their job. So, one is you have to actually be pursuing a meaningful purpose. That doesn't mean, "Save the children. Save the whales.” Those aren't the only forms of meaningful purpose. If you want to attract the best people you have to be clear on how it's impacting people's lives and, again, communicate that in a way that the people who care about having that impact know about it and can, again, self-select in.

I think that's really what the best people want. They want to use their talents in the highest leverage way to contribute to something that is meaningful to them.
