Caneel JoyceCEO Coach
Bio

I help CEOs, founders and other humans learn to lead as whole and integrated people who are equipped to welcome anything with ease, clarity, and authenticity. I'm the creator of Allowed Academy and host of the top-rated growth podcast, Allowed.

I coach executives one-on-one and as cofounder partners, and teams.

I help teams address conflict, tension, indecision, velocity, clarity, decision-making, delegation, culture drama and toxicity, communication issues, feedback, collaboration, vision setting, OKRs, and all human-related aspects of leadership and management.

I also facilitate team offsites, do 360-degree feedback reviews, and guide all kinds of people through a 3-month Zone of Genius discovery process (within Allowed Academy, caneel.com/yes).

About me: I am a mom of two, a seasoned leader, a Silicon Valley veteran, a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior (Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley), and a deeply experienced coach, facilitator, and CEO advisor. Personally love: change, technology, science, psychology, design, product strategy, art, mischief, dancing, wine, yoga, dinner parties, backpacking, and keynote speaking.

I'm in this for the love of people and my mission is to bring millions of people into the experience of conscious leadership, where they are leading in their whole lives, as their whole selves - bringing their unique forms of genius to the world, from love.

That depends on what is unique and "evergreen" about your approach. A lot of companies exist to encourage conversation in the workplace. I'd focus not on the product's features but on the end result - the benefits, and in particular, the emotional benefits of using the product.

For example, Clarity.fm supports conversations but it's not called "Expert chat" - what a boring brand that would be! Instead they have chosen the territory of "clarity", which is the feeling you WANT to have when you have finished using the product. It's the brand's promise. I am willing to speak with an expert, and to pay them, when what I want above all else is Clarity. I could hunt for answers on the internet, but it's often overwhelming with a lot of conflicting advice. When you speak with an expert however you feel a sense of clarity.

So for you, what is the unique value prop? What is the feeling you are promising to create? Happy to discuss. Calls with me are free right now. Give me a ring and we can brainstorm.

When in doubt, **stop debating**. You are not your customer. Get out of the building. Don't build unless you're testing what you build, and ready to throw away what you build when you get answers.

Good luck! Books are helpful as background, but for specific advice on where you and your company specifically should invest time, set up a call with me.
